John Schobel V, President
John joined RegEd in 1999. As president, John oversees RegEd's sales and marketing efforts, client relationships and product development and enhancement initiatives. Prior to becoming president, John was RegEd's regional vice president in the northeast, overseeing client development. In this role, he brought many top broker-dealers to RegEd as clients. Before RegEd, John was the Assistant Director of the New York Academy of Art and served as Director of Marketing and Development at the National Academy Museum in New York City. John received his JD from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis and his BA from New York University.
Angela Pace, Chief Operating Officer
Angela first joined RegEd in 2000 and serves as RegEd's Chief Operating Officer. She has held several management positions within the company including leading RegEd's Product Management, Implementation, and Regulatory Affairs departments. Prior to rejoining RegEd in 2004, she was a manager with a leading global provider of financial services to corporations and institutions. Angela received her JD from the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis and her BA in journalism from the University of Missouri - Columbia.
Hong Nguyen, Chief Financial Officer
Hong joined RegEd in 2007 and serves as Chief Financial Officer. Hong is responsible for the financial and operational efficiency for RegEd. Hong has management responsibility for financial reporting and analysis, budget, forecast, long-term financial plan, as well as supplemental reporting for the company in accordance with GAAP and Corporate financial policies and guidelines.
Prior to joining RegEd, Hong had over 15 years of experience in banking, insurance software and services, information technology, and telecommunications. Hong is a CPA and holds a Masters in Business Administration.
Jayen Godse, Chief Information Officer
Jayen heads RegEd's technology department and directs software development, infrastructure and technology operations. Under his leadership, RegEd developed the industry leading securities registration and insurance licensing application Xchange. Before joining RegEd, Jayen had ten years of experience in development of mission-critical systems and infrastructure management for a leading international bank. Jayen holds a MBA from the Stern School of business.
Margaret S. "Peggy" Fox, General Counsel
Peggy joined RegEd in 1999 and serves as its general counsel. Peggy's prior experience includes serving as first vice president in the compliance department at one of the largest broker-dealers in the US. She was also the enforcement director at the New York Stock Exchange, gaining extensive experience in evaluating member firm's sales and trading business functions.
Lorraine Smith Carver, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Lorraine joined RegEd in 2001 and has held several positions within the company, gaining valuable experience in sales management, product development, marketing, course production, technology management, administration and management of the company's day-to-day operations. Lorraine was also responsible for merging Emerald Learning Solutions' operations into the RegEd business as part of the Fiserv acquisition. Prior to joining RegEd, Lorraine held various positions within a high-tech public relations firm in Washington, DC. Lorraine received her BA in journalism and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Thad Tremaine, Executive Vice President of Broker/Dealer Solutions Group
Thad joined RegEd in January 2005 as the Senior Director of Client Services. As RegEd's client base has grown, so have Thad's responsibilities. In his current role as EVP of RegEd's Broker/Dealer Solutions Group, Thad maintains P&L ownership for RegEd's Trax product line. He is responsible for the strategic direction of RegEd's continuing education and compliance products, as well as the delivery of RegEd's industry leading service.
Prior to RegEd, Thad was with Thomson Financial in New York, where he led a team of account managers, trainers, and specialists responsible for client retention and sales. Thad began his career developing and servicing financial services software at StreetFusion, a pioneer of financial event webcasting in the late 90's. Thad received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Valerya Poltorak, Executive Vice President of Licensing and Registration Solutions
Val is RegEd’s Executive Vice President of Registration and Licensing Solutions and has been with the company for ten years. Val has spent a major portion of her career defining and developing industry-leading compliance, insurance licensing and securities registration solutions. An avid customer interest proponent, Val enjoys working with industry professionals in furthering the cause of collaboration and operational efficiency. Val holds a BS from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Debra Freitag, Executive Vice President of Business Strategy and Development
Debra joined RegEd in 2006 and has more than 20 years experience in formulating sales and market strategy, leading product management and managing business development. In her role, Debra is responsible for leading business development at RegEd and has oversight for RegEd's Financial Training and Registration & Licensing outsourcing services.
For seven years prior to joining RegEd, Debra served as the General Manager for CT Insurance Services overseeing and managing operations,sales, marketing and product development. Prior to that Debra served as Senior Market Segment Manager for CT Corporation System and CCH Legal Information Services. Debra received her undergraduate degree from CUNY and she attended Pace University Graduate School. Her continuing executive education has included the completion of marketing and business development programs at Columbia University at Arden, University of Chicago and Kellogg University.
